OUR HISTORY

Creative Vision, Bold Design

DL Metal Design, LLC was founded with the vision of becoming a world leader in manufactured miscellaneous and ornamental steel products. The foundation of this vision was to create a regional manufacturing powerhouse that could do full turnkey services for our clients. The idea was to offer a cross trade company that would focus on technology, quality of product, and create a team that would be so proactive we became an extension of our clients’ onsite management process. Whether it was our own scope of work or not, if something touched our product or had an integral part in the final deliverable, DL Metal Design would support the solution finding process in order to make installation seamless. This vision was put to action in 2015 and by 2020, DL Metal Design has evolved from a Design and Engineering firm into a full-service turnkey construction subcontractor.

With more than 75 years combined industry experience, our firm can deliver on our promise to provide on-time quality work with highly competitive pricing. We pride ourselves on never delivering anything less than perfection to our clients.

We apply sound principles of metal design to produce the best experience for all stakeholders. We strive to be fully transparent to avoid delays, miscommunications on expectations, and to show our customer real-time information on their products.

OUR TEAM

David Lopez

David Lopez, the founder of DL Metal Design, has been working in the steel industry since 1997. David started his steel career when his brother, a master welder, hired him during his college breaks. He continued to learn and in just a few short years became a project manager at the age of 21 with projects exceeding 2 million in total value. By the time David was in his early 30’s, he had helped shape the team for an up-and-coming ornamental steel player in the New York market and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. David has held executive positions for multiple companies and has managed teams for combined work exceeding 400 million in revenue. Most importantly are the many mentors and teachers David has learned from in the industry throughout his career. This knowledge has shaped him into a strong leader and partner for his clients.

David enjoys coaching soccer and basketball and is the Vice President of the Southern Lehigh Youth Basketball Association. When he is not at the office or coaching, David enjoys hiking, biking, and traveling with his children Kaylee and David James and his wife Barbara. David holds a B.S. in Business Management from Northeastern University.

Matt Patterson

Matt started his career in the metal industry in 2008 where he began as a waterjet operator. After a short time, he had moved into ornamental fabrication where he led teams of fabricators in building ornate stairs, railings, and canopies for some of this country’s most exclusive commercial and residential customers. Since his time as a fabricator, Matt has taken part in opening multiple miscellaneous and ornamental fabrication facilities, including DL Metal Design.

Since a young age Matt has always had a passion for building and creating, which eventually evolved into a lifelong career path in the trades. From the age of 14, he always retained trade focused jobs, from fine woodworking to house building, finish carpentry and metal working. In his free time Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, camping, riding bikes and hiking.

Nick Siciliano

Nick has always been a passionate and hard-working individual who is always looking for a new challenge. His passion for building started at a very young age from making model airplanes to building hot rods with his dad. Before working at DL Metal Design, Nick graduated from Neshaminy High School and earned his degree in graphic design at Buck County Community College. Deciding to take a more hands on approach with his career, he entered the steel industry managing and maintaining his family’s transportation business for over 15 years. Throughout the years he has also worked in several ornamental metal shops developing his welding and fabrication skills. His hobbies include working on cars, trucks, and motorcycles, visiting the mountains for hunting, fishing, and hiking, learning new trades and skillsets, and spending time with his family.

Tiffany DeJesus

Tiffany has been in the construction industry for close to 20 years. Upon graduation from college, she spent 10 years in construction administration followed by eight years as a project coordinator and assistant project manager. Moving into project management allowed her to get her boots dirty in the field and see in person what she had been seeing on paper all those years. As an APM, Tiffany really fell in love with construction, being able to drive around NYC saying, “See that building, I had a hand in that.”

Tiffany earned her bachelor’s degree from Long Island University, cum laude and a certificate in construction estimating from NYU School of Continuing Studies. She is also a proud alumna of The Jackie Robinson Foundation.

Tiffany is originally from Brooklyn, New York. She moved to Bethlehem 5 years ago and has fallen in love with the Lehigh Valley. She enjoys weekend adventures with her two children, exploring new sites, visiting new restaurants, and creating new memories.

Mark Kiser

Mark is a Sales and Estimating professional with over 30+ years dedicated to the structural steel, miscellaneous and ornamental metals industry. He has always been a team player and has held several different positions wherever he was needed to make a company successful; from a quality control inspector for an AISC fabrication shop, as a project manager handling multiple large miscellaneous/ornamental metal projects, and as a Vice President starting new
miscellaneous/ornamental metal divisions.

His passion for this industry started when he was mentored right of college by a Professional Engineer that had a desire for designing, detailing, and fabricating structural steel/ miscellaneous metals. This PE taught him that the most important aspect and key to success in the industry and in life was placing others above ourselves. It was about serving someone else, even at personal expense.

Mark enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and empowering the surrounding community into a lifestyle of service to those in need.
