This 160 million dollar hotel expansion offered DLM the opportunity to showcase our wide variety of work capabilities with a scope of work that included main egress staircases with railings, exterior steel painted rails, in wall and ceiling miscellaneous metal supports, ornamental penthouse structures with Duranar finished laser cut panels, a 30’ chandelier support system, floor infill steel systems, custom stainless and powder coated exterior mesh railings, and exterior wall and art panels made from Corten (Weathered) steel.

The main challenges in a project of this size are overall coordination between the General Contractor and a multitude of trade overlap. DL Metal tackled this process with a very proactive plan in managing our project life cycle. With such a large span of time between various items it was important to create realistic timelines and list all potential barriers to making the expected schedule milestones. Most importantly was to look at all trade impacts to our work and offer real time solutions for issues, whether it was something we owned or not. You have to look at the whole project as a synchronized team effort rather than copious trade allies operating on the illusion that things will work out.
